Lauries house was a special project due to the fact that she’s a quadriplegic and had a lot of special requirements in this house. I was blown away at the floor work and took it on myself to make what they had done the best I could. When you hire people who do not do this as a profession these will most likely be your results. Anyways we just started sanding and trying to get all the sanding marks left in the floor out and also leave a floor too.
This was a custom stain job so it required a lot more sanding than a regular natural floor. This job took about 3 weeks to complete but in the end to see the smile on the owner’s face was worth all the effort!!! The other challenge was that the house originally had antique heart pine floors that the contractor was supposed to match.
However that’s not what happened they installed a much cheaper grade of pine that was super soft and it was more than challenging to try to make two different woods to match and not be ridiculously obvious.. many pics of the completed job show how beautiful it all turned out lesson here is to always hire a real floor man.
