Dawson floors was approached by Reference, to fix these Brazilian teak floors in their restaurant. These floors were in very sad shape. Once all the prices were agreed on and the special access was given (as it is on the 15th floor of Hancock bank), we started the project on September 2016.
We decided to do it in 3 phases: the hallway, the main room and bar, and lastly the two banquet rooms. My objectives from the start were to make their floor brand new again! Every job has its challenges but security at the biggest bank in Gulfport, working on the 15th floor was boggling. We love these obstacles because they are learning opportunities and we grow from them so they are welcome.
The floors had not been touched since hurricane Katrina so we had our work cut out for us. Almost all commercial jobs require or specify a two part water based finish for which we use Bona Traffic HD exclusively!
